Reservation and cancellation policy

 

 Reservation :

  • A reservation deposit corresponding to 30% of the total amount of the stay (including taxes) is required by credit card to confirm the reservation. This deposit is non-refundable.
  • Payment of the balance of the total amount of the stay will be taken on the credit card 14 days before the date of arrival. It is the renter's responsibility to ensure that the credit card on file is valid at the time of payment of the final balance, otherwise the reservation may be canceled and the reservation deposit forfeited.
  • A security deposit ($ 500.00 CAD for Le Pür and $ 800.00 CAD for Le Chïc) will be taken about 7 days before the arrival date (pre-authorization on the credit card). This deposit is 100% refundable within 7 days of the departure date as long as the site inspection has confirmed that everything is in good condition and that the regulations have been followed. Any broken regulations or damage will be deducted from this security deposit.
  • The maximum number of adults allowed for a reservation is 8 in Le PÜR and 12 in Le CHÏC (for a total of not more than 10 and 16 people including children, in Le PÜR and Le CHÏC, respectively). In addition, in order to limit the risk of disturbing the neighborhood, reservations in the chalet Le CHÏC will be made exclusively for family groups (with children) or groups aged 55 and over.
  • The minimum age to make a reservation is 30 years old.
  • The contact details of the tenant (first and last name, address, telephone number and email address) will be required to confirm the reservation and will be kept on file but will never be shared.
  • Proof of identity (with photo) of the tenant will also be necessary to confirm the reservation in order to validate the veracity of the tenant's identity and his age. This proof of identity will not be shared or kept.

 

Modification :

  • A request to modify the date of stay can be made 28 days or more from the date of arrival for a fee of $ 150.00 CAD + tx. The reservation deposit can then be transferred to the new date of stay.
  • The new date of stay must be within 12 months of the original date of stay, otherwise the reservation deposit will be forfeited.
  • When changing the date of stay, the new stay is subject to the minimum length of stay as it appears on this website, and length of stay may change from one year to another, without notice.
  • No request for modification of the date of stay will be accepted within 28 days of the date of arrival.

 

Cancellation :

  • In the event of a cancellation 15 days or more before the date of arrival, only the reservation deposit corresponding to 30% of the total amount of the stay (including taxes) will be retained.
  • If canceled 14 days or less before the arrival date, the total amount of the reservation will be retained.

 

Payment: 

  • Amounts payable are in Canadian dollars (CAD).
  • Payment methods accepted: Visa, Mastercard
  • The information related to the credit card, obtained during the reservation deposit, will not be shared. These will however be kept in the tenant's file until the security deposit is released. No information related to the credit card will be retained thereafter.

 

Rental policy (rules and regulations)

1. The public health rules in force must be observed.
2.The chalets are non-smoking.
3. Animals are not allowed.
4.Excessive noise and fireworks are prohibited at all times.
5. Any gathering of the "party" type is prohibited.
6.The tenant and his guests must show respect and reasonable behavior towards the premises and the neighborhood. They must also take into account that the chalets are located in an ecological and peaceful private domain, and that noise easily travels in the mountains.
7.The tenant is responsible for the conduct of his guests and can not under any circumstances discharge his responsibility by invoking that of his guests.
8.No speakers outside.
9. Curfew from 10 p.m. to 8 a.m.
10.If the tenant and his guests remain awake during curfew hours (10 p.m.-8 a.m.), they must be inside the chalet and the windows and patio doors must be closed so as not to disturb the neighborhood. .
11.Tents, tent trailers, trailers, RVs, snowmobiles, ATVs are prohibited.
12. The subletting, transfer or loan of chalets is prohibited.
13.The number of people authorized for each cabin, as it appears on the invoice, is a maximum and must be respected at all times. It is therefore not allowed to receive other guests visiting the chalet, regardless of the time of day.
14.Vehicles must respect the speed limit in the domain (30 km / h).
15.The maximum number of vehicles allowed on the chalet premises, at any time, is 4 for Le Pür and 6 for Le Chïc. It is forbidden to park vehicles elsewhere than in the chalet parking lot, provided for this purpose. And no street parking is allowed.
16.Each of the instructions relating to the use of the hot tub (spa/jacuzzi) must be followed: take a shower before using the spa, detach the 4 clips before opening the spa cover, be at least 2 people to open and close the cover of the spa (using the support on which the cover rests), never climb on the cover, no children in the hot tub, no food or drink in the hot tub, long hair must be tied up, always close the cover after use and reattach the 4 clips, put the products as indicated in the email sent before arrival, refill the hot tub if the water level drops below the jets, do not use the shower towels (gray) for the spa.
17.It is not allowed to move the furniture intended to be fixed: the pool table, the beds, the dining room table, the sofas and the televisions.
18.For the safety of users, it is not allowed to walk barefoot outside the chalets (even to go to the spa).
19.The lessee must be able to be contacted at all times during his stay by the lessor. The tenant must therefore provide, at a minimum, one (1) telephone number which can be reached at any time during his stay.
20.Jumping down from the gallery is not permitted.
21. Hammock style chairs are available at certain times of the year but should be used with care and calm (maximum 220 lbs), not as park swings.
22. The landlord must be notified of any defect observed during the stay as well as any damage caused by the tenant or his guests during the stay.
23.Although cleaning fees are included on the invoice for the stay, the tenant must return the premises (and the equipment provided on the premises) as they were on arrival.
24.The BBQ must be cleaned after use (the BBQ is available in summer only).
25. The use of sticky paper ("scotch tape") or any other sticky material on any painted surface of the chalet is prohibited.
26.In order to maintain the good condition of the fireplace, only ecological logs or the wood supplied by the landlord can be used in the interior wood fireplace of chalet Le Chïc. It is forbidden to burn garbage, recyclable materials or food in the indoor fireplace. In addition to the quantity of wood supplied on arrival (in winter only, no wood supplied in summer), additional log quarters can be supplied on request ($). In addition, ashes, embers, burnt wood and other residue must remain in the fireplace.
27.A cutting board should be used on counters to cut food (no knife used directly on the counter).
28.Dishes must be completely and adequately washed. It is accepted that the dishwasher is started just before the departure of the tenant.

29. Waste, recycling and compost must be put in the respective outdoor bins (blue = recycling; brown = compost; black = trash), and these must be put at the side of the road the day before collection, according to the collection schedule available in each chalet.
30. Any exterior fire must be made in the exterior fireplace only, and at a reasonable intensity. No open fire is allowed.In addition, ashes, embers, burnt wood and other residue must remain in the fireplace.
31.All doors must be locked and windows must be closed during the absence of tenants, including when they leave.

32. It is not permitted to cut tree branches and/or trees and shrubs on the property or on neighboring properties.
33. It is not permitted to store bicycles, skis, snowboards, paddle boards, kayaks or canoes inside the chalet. These items must remain outside the chalet.
34. The maximum departure time must be respected in order to allow the cleaning team to start at the scheduled time. Occupants must therefore leave the premises no later than the agreed time, and must also have vacated the parking lot at this time.
35. Outdoor cameras are installed and can be used to view parking lots.
36. The tenant must ensure that he has not forgotten anything at the chalet when he leaves. The landlord is not responsible for items forgotten at the cottage and does not undertake to return them to the tenant once the departure time has passed. These items will not be retained. If, exceptionally, the landlord is able to return the forgotten items to the tenant, a handling fee of $25 + tx will automatically be charged to the tenant, in addition to the required shipping and/or travel costs.
37.The lessor reserves the right to inspect the premises at any time and / or to carry out work deemed necessary, without notice.
38. The access of the tenant and his guests to the Vertendre facilities (lake, trails, etc.) is not guaranteed.
39.Damages caused by the tenant and / or his guests and noted during the inspection after the stay may be the subject of a claim by the landlord against the tenant. If the amount of the damage is equal to or less than the amount of the security deposit, the amount corresponding to the height of the damage will be deducted from the security deposit. In the event that the amount of damage was greater than the amount of the security deposit, the tenant will have to pay the costs related to the repair of the damage caused and for which the invoice will be forwarded to him.
40. In the event that a door (or more doors) left unlocked during the absence of the tenant and / or his guests results in theft / fire / vandalism, the tenant agrees to pay the insurance deductible. of the landlord, which is $ 2,500.00 for such an event and / or any sum not covered by the landlord's insurance.
41. In addition to damages for which the tenant could be held liable, any breached settlement will be deducted from the security deposit, in the amount corresponding to the height of the breached settlement. The infringement of a by-law numbered from 1 to 13 inclusive will result in the deduction of an amount equivalent to the entire security deposit ($ 500.00 and $ 800.00, for Le Pür and Le Chïc, respectively, and the infringement of each regulation numbered from 14 to 32 inclusively will result in the deduction of an amount of $ 150.00 from the security deposit.
42.The landlord as well as the owners and / or shareholders cannot be held responsible for any event that may cause injury, illness or death of the tenant and / or his guests, nor for the loss or breakage of personal objects affecting the tenant and / or his guests. By making a reservation, the tenant and his guests accept the risks related to their stay. In these terms, no legal recourse can be made against the lessor, owner and / or shareholder of Les Chalets Bookmark for any reason or cause whatsoever.
43.The landlord will not credit or reimburse in the event of an unforeseen situation such as (non-exhaustive list) a power failure, bad weather, an interruption of internet services, a water problem, or a septic system problem that would arise during the stay.
44.The landlord reserves the right to cancel a reservation and reimburse the tenant, regardless of the delay before the stay or the reason. However, if the cancellation is related to non-compliance with the rental policy by the tenant, no refund will be granted.
45.The lessor may, at his option and by right, immediately terminate, without further notice, this contract in the event that the lessee and his guests fail to comply with one or more regulations stipulated herein. . Subject to and without prejudice to all other remedies and rights of the lessor and, at the option of the lessor, the latter may, without notice or any other form of legal procedure, immediately enter the leased premises and repossess them, also take possession of the effects. of the tenant and remove them from the rented premises, at the latter's expense, notwithstanding any regulation or law to the contrary.
